Valerie Stanois is an award-winning entertainer, singer, actor, choreographer, director and performance coach. She is most well-known for her portrayal of “Oz”, the rocker rebel, in the original Canadian production of Queen’s ‘We Will Rock You,’ and for her work on the Broadway and Toronto productions of ‘Rock of Ages’.

Other career highlights include: ‘Hello Dolly’ and ‘Into the Woods’ at the Stratford Festival, Sillibub in ‘Cats’, Brook Wyndham in ‘Legally Blonde’, Rizzo in ‘Grease’, ‘Dee Snider’s Rock and Roll Christmas Tale’, ‘Hair’ and many more. She has also
performed alongside such artists as Queen, Carly Rae Jepsen, Dee Snider of ‘Twisted Sister’, and Taylor Dayne. Valerie also paired up with Canadian Idol runner up, Rex Goudie, to record ‘Won’t Have to Wait,’ now available on iTunes.

In 2015, Valerie combined her experience and expertise in the industry and launched Rock Your Spotlight. RYS provides one-on-one, group & master classes in Contemporary vocal & performance, stage presence, live performance, choreography, artist development and audition coaching. Geared towards building confidence and discovering your unique voice, her lessons are for all ages, professionals and aspiring singers alike.

Valerie is a Toronto native and studied musical theatre at Sheridan College, She has since travelled the world applying her talents to various projects. Since starting her career in 1998, Valerie has been noted to have “impressive stamina, disciplined vocal control and a captivating command of the stage”.

Her passion for performing has led her to work on television, radio, music videos, cruise ships, casinos, theme parks, and numerous corporate events. Valerie was a founding member of the band ‘The Remedy’ as well as the triple threat vocal trio ‘Sonic Eve’ who performed worldwide and headlined for many cruise lines.

When Valerie is not rocking out on stage, she is an educator of the arts with the Toronto, Durham and Peel School Boards and continues to teach for Canada’s most notable theatre companies including secondary and post-secondary arts institutions such as Mirvish Productions, Can-Stage, St. Lawrence College, Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts, Sheridan College, Etobicoke School of the Arts, Rosedale School for the Arts, Earl Haig and is a resident choreographer/coach at her alma mater, Wexford School for the Performing Arts.
