Shanice Nembhard

Shanice started her dance training at the early age of three, growing up as a competitive dancer at Durham Dance Centre in Pickering, Ontario. She studied at Ryerson University and graduated their Performance Dance program as valedictorian. She began to expand her knowledge and training as a professional dancer and choreographer as her journey continued.

Shanice excels in a wide variety of dance styles which has given her several performances and tv opportunities such as: Netflix series “Self-Made,” starring Octavia Spencer, as well as a lifetime movie “Salt N’ Pepper,” Disney’s Sneakerella, and most recent Nickelodeon’s “The J Team” starring JoJo Siwa.

She has been recognized with numerous scholarship awards including Coastal Dance rage, Pulse Protégé from The Pulse on tour, The Young Choreographers Award for the American Dance Awards, and many more. These awards have allowed her to train with and dance for many choreographers like Stephen “tWitch” Boss, Brian Friedman, Benji Schwimmer, Bobby Newberry, Christian Vincent and more. She also was a member of the Canadian Tap team in Riesa, Germany; for So You Think You Can Dance Star, Everett Smith. As a current dancer for the Toronto Raptors, she has performed alongside A$AP Ferg, Tory Lanez, and FLO-RIDA.

She has also been featured in music videos for artists such as “Mi Niara” by Charmaine, “Groove Box” by GOVI, “Foreigner” Nonso Amandi and more. As she continues to train in dance, her knowledge of acting and modeling have allowed her to flourish in the Toronto scene.
