Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Ryder Morcilla was introduced to the film industry at the age of seven years old when she was chosen as a regular TV series background performer working multiple days over the first season, also working on the following seasons. Ryder went on to be cast in various commercials then eventually being cast in a Hallmark movie.
In addition to training in acting, Ryder continues to train in, jazz, hip hop, taekwondo, ice skating, and piano. Ryder completed the Red Cross Swim program and will continue to train to become a lifeguard during her spare time.
Ryder loves spending time with family and old friends, also enjoys making new ones. When Ryder is not in school or at one of her many activities, you can find her on her computer, playing with friends, and watching movies with her family.
