Ricky Singh

Born and raised in East York Toronto Canada to Punjabi Indian parents, Ricky was one of those outgoing kids that made people laugh. He loved comedy, horror and action films, but was very fascinated with sketch comedy TV shows SCTV and Saturday Night Live. Some of his favorite stars were John Candy, Martin Short, Carol Burnette, Steve Martin, Eddie Murphy, Robin Williams, and Joan Rivers. He wanted to be on TV since childhood and because of this passion he enrolled in “Comedy Training” at The Second City Toronto for Improv and Humber College for Stand-Up. He has performed in groups and solo acts numerous times at various event venues and clubs like Second City, Yuk Yuks, Absolute Comedy, Live at the Annex and his own produced comedy/music shows across the GTA

Ricky expanded his repertoire from Stage Performer to Television and Film screen Actor. Now as a Union Actor, embraces Dramatic, Action, Horror and Comedic character roles. He’s appeared on Discovery Channels Forbidden: Dying for Love as a Principal Actor playing a very serious emotional role. He went on to Act in nationally aired commercials, and Lead roles in Horror/Comedy short films – The Slenderman, Drown by the Pond and Outreach. He produced and acted in his own productions including Wipe Out Toronto, GTA Spotlight and other content. He excelled in a four hour long format auctioneer show for an International audience – Challenging! Among other things he has been a radio show host, voice-over actor and hosted shows on Vision TV and on Rogers TV. Ricky has also done several modelling shoots in brand print ad campaigns including magazines and billboards.

He has gained further experience in music, as a singer, dancing and plays drums, becoming multi-talented. He has been hired numerous times for hosting/emceeing gigs at community events, private parties, weddings. Earlier on, his troupe performed at the original old SCTV fire hall location downtown Toronto and his work was outstanding.

Currently he is married with two beautiful daughters and operates his own music and film studio. Very athletic since teenage years with up to 30 medals/trophies in Wrestling, and Track and Field. Loves many sports like hockey, tennis, golf, baseball, football, bowling, pool and more. He likes to cook, loves music, and is a skilled communicator with 25 years of sales and marketing. Ricky’s spontaneous positive happy attitude makes him a very unique type of person.
