Marlene first caught her performance bug while attending St. Mary’s Choir and Orchestra School in London, On. After being accepted into an arts high school, she signed up for her first professional roll in West Side Story for the inaugural production of The Grand Theatre’s High School Project. It was there she decided the stage would be a lifetime pursuit and went on to complete her BFA in Acting from the University of Windsor.

Since graduating, Marlene has worked in various school tour shows, children’s theatre and Fringe festivals. She has performed in such venues as the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts, The Toronto Centre for the Performing Arts, The Grand Theatre and Hart House Theatre in various musical, Shakespearean and modern theatrical roles. Marlene has performed in independent film and commercial voice-overs and has also been spotted in national commercials for Lowes, Ford, ICS Canada, Weight Watchers, Sunlife Financial, Tim Hortons and Home Hardware. She has hosted numerous in-house training videos and is currently a host for GM Canada on the Chevrolet Brand Team.

With a multitude of interests and talents, Marlene was a member of the professional a Capella group, Sonus and a proud co-founder of The Shakespearience Group, a Burlington based theatre company committed to educating youth through Shakespeare in performance.

Currently, Marlene continues to expand on her experiences in acting and performance all while being a proud Mom of a 10-year-old, studying martial arts and building a reputation as a cookie goddess/artist!
