Kendra Brulé is a passionate performer born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario. She found her love for the arts at the age of 7. Competitively trained in ballet, jazz and tap at Vanessa Plettell Dance, she studied under the RAD and ADAPT syllabus, achieving the highest level of distinction, up to the advanced levels. She is also trained in contemporary, acrobatics, jazz funk, commercial, hiphop, partnering, improv and ballroom at KaliAndrews Dance Company, where her love for the commercial industry began. Tapping into these multitude of genres enabled Kendra to flourish into the versatile dancer she is today.

Her work ethic, passion, and versatility are what sets her apart. Kendra’s devotion has given her the ability to win numerous awards as both a soloist and group performer. Gaining international experience travelling extensively across the United States and Canada, she has distinguished herself as a consistent scholarship winner at several touring conventions including many Break The Floor Production events. This led her to qualify for the Best Dancer category at the 2018 Dance Awards in Las Vegas. Through her continuous success displayed at these events, Kendra was personally invited to attend Stacey Tookey’s “The Protégé Movement” mentorship program, in both New York City and Calgary, where her love for television and film intensified. Later that year Kendra was named the 2018 Face of Fever, by Fever Dance Championships, becoming the face of their brand the entire year.

Apart from her competitive success, Kendra has had the opportunity to dance backup for singer songwriter Shawn Hook, Paula Abdul, and internet web star Lilly Singh at several live WE Day events in Canada. Furthermore, she had the honour of becoming OPSM Pro Dance’s 2019 Drive to Succeed Winner, selected by NBC’s World of Dance Season 2 Runner-Up Michael Dameski, Mykell Wilson and Deirdre Barnes, receiving an all inclusive trip to Los Angeles to further her dance education. While in Los Angeles, she was selected to be trained under the artistic direction of Janelle Ginestra and Willdabeast Adams as a company member of their well renowned IMMABEAST and IMMABREATHEco. She continues to venture out to Los Angeles to train with industry leading choreographers.

Training in Los Angeles inspired Kendra’s drive for the world of television and film. She has fell in love with acting and dancing on screen ever since. Her acting training consists of On-Camera Performance technique with Armstrong Acting Studios and Core Acting and Improv techniques with Gene Gabriel. Kendra has also begun to dive into the world of choreography, teaching workshops and setting multiple competitive pieces for dancers in Ottawa. Being a role model for her students and watching them evolve has been something she’s so proud to witness. Currently, Kendra continues to strive towards reaching her goals as both a dancer and actress, working in television and film and sharing her passion with the world.
