Kaleah Crump

UBCP/ACTRA

Kaleah Crump has been exposed to the arts from a young age at a local studio in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her journey began with baton twirling, acro, tap, jazz, and ballet. Since then, she has also been trained in hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, and modern. She has an open mind and is always looking for ways to improve her craft.

Her passion and hard work resulted in Kaleah earning scholarships which led to assisting at Triple Threat Dance Convention, and i-Dance Convention – while also taking her across Canada. She has taught at Soul Dance Intensive in Thompson, Manitoba, with Kaizen Dance Productions; and is currently an ambassador for Rutherford Movement Exchange in Toronto, Ontario, directed by Stephanie Rutherford.

Kaleah has performed at numerous live events such as The Darlings Cabaret under the direction of Kathryn Schellenberg, The Sweet Spot directed by Jen Oleksiuk, Vancouver WE DAY, Vancouver’s Mural Festival, Vancouver PRIDE, Canada Day at the PNE, Welcome to the Main Event and the CFL Grey Cup Festival. She was also honoured to work with choreographers Mandy Moore, Jillian Meyers, Luther Brown, Christian Vincent, Jamal Sims, Heather Laura Gray, Jeffrey Mortensen, and Louise Hradsky.

Currently, Kaleah resides in Vancouver to continue pursuing dance on a professional level. Having completed the Harbour Dance Centre’s ITP, and multiple mentorship programs directed by Joe Tuliao, she is actively seeking new opportunities. Her most recent project was with Paramount+, Nickelodeon and Mattel’s Monster High, directed by Todd Holland, as a featured dancer.

Kaleah is a family oriented body that holds each and every one of her siblings very close to her heart. She would not be where she is today without her mother’s blessing and encouragement to give it all that she’s got with no apologies. If you don’t see her in the city, she is most likely taking time to reconnect with her loved ones in her hometown.
