Jim Temple

Jim Temple, originally from Tkaronto/ Toronto, spent years refining his craft as a stand-up/ actor in Kjipuktuk/ Halifax. Graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in acting (with honours) from the Fountain School of Performing Arts at Dalhousie University in 2021, Jim played Don Juan in the Fountain School’s production of Don Juan Comes Back From The War, as well as Poseidon in their production of Women of Troy. In 2019, He was the recipient of the school’s Stint Memorial Prize for Promise in Acting.

In television, Jim has guest starred on CBC’s Diggstown and Bell Fibe 1’s King & Pawn, and recurred on Bell Fibe 1’s Halifax Homicide. In streaming, he was a main cast member of the web series Chrissy’s Christmas. He has appeared in short films for AFCOOP, NSCAD and more.

As a stand-up comedian, Jim has performed at the Hubcap Comedy Festival, opened for Cathy Jones, Kevin McDonald, and toured throughout Atlantic Canada. He is a natural performer with the ability to surf the chaos of his own creative mind. Known for staging shared moments of absurdism with adoring crowds everywhere, he is a must see for everyone who enjoys comedy off the beaten track.
