Jade Whitney

Jade Whitney (she/her), Toronto-born artist, has been dancing both professionally and competitively from a young age. She has received extensive training at Vlad’s Dance Company in a variety of styles including contemporary, jazz, ballet, hip-hop, acro, tap, and more. She has worked with choreographers such as Christopher Scott, Will Loftis, Luther Brown, The Squared Division, Amy Wright and Roberto Campanella. Jade is a graduate of Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts, where she majored in dance and vocal music.

Jade’s film/television credits include Disney’s Zombies 1 & 2, Suicide Squad, Schitt’s Creek, The Next Step, Julie and the Phantoms, the Christmas Chronicles 2, Backstage, The Strain, Make It Pop, Aaliyah: Princess of R&B, Frankie Drake and YTV’s The Next Star. She has also done motion-capture for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag.

Jade has danced for artists such as Nick Jonas, FKA twigs, Deborah Cox, Blake McGrath, Lights, Aleesia and Shad. She has danced for corporations such as MAC Cosmetics, General Motors, TD Bank, Staples, Telus, the Lion’s Club International, Sony, and Lia Sophia. She has performed live at the World Pride 2014 Closing Ceremony, the One Year Launch of the 2015 Pan-Am Games, the Canadian National Exhibition and more. She has danced in Toronto-based companies such as Transcendance, Bridge To Artists, and The Girls Club. In 2013, Jade co-directed and choreographed a contemporary dance show entitled Fill Up & Get Out with Emma Portner.
