Genevieve Cholette

Geneviève Cholette is an accomplished film and theatre actor. She is pursuing a diversified career having played lead roles in many critically acclaimed stage shows and musicals across Canada as well as Paris, France. With her original French Cabaret show, ‘ViVie & le Dernier Métro’ she has been asked to perform at many prestigious events at l’Alliance Française, CBC Radio and the French Consulate. She was recently asked to open for the world renowned singer ‘Bia’ (En Wave Theatre) as well as for ‘Les Héritiers de Champlain’ at the famous Glenn Gould Studio.

Selected film credits include: ‘Your Ex-Lover is Dead’ (Lead) 3 nominations-1 award at the DVHD Film Festival in Los Angeles/Official Selection of the RealHeART Flm. Fest. in Toronto, ‘The Getaway’ (winner of the audience choice award at The Washington DC Short Film Festival/Nominated for best comedy at the FAIF Independent Film Festival in Los Angeles), ”The Box” (Lead) winner of Toronto’s Curiosity Festival, ”Truth” (Lead) winner of the London, Ontario Film Festival, ”Half a Person”, official selection of the Sudbury Film Festival. Geneviève has been a proud member of the Carter Thor Studios for over five years.

Upcoming:
*As a singer-songwriter she is working on her album with George Meanwell and Éric St-Laurent for a 2010 release.
*She is developing an empowering children’s TV pilot in a co-production with Leading Pictures for 2011.
*She is working on ‘’Sans limite’’, a feature film about Borderline personality disorder, based on her sister’s life.

Other:
*She has written, directed and choreographed several musicals for young artists for the Ontario Arts Council and has given workshops to over 5000 children and teens across Ontario and Québec.
*She is now the Film Teen Acting Coach for the Carter Thor Studios.
