Emma Stephenson (she/her) is a Canadian born professional dancer, actor, aerialist and choreographer. With a diverse background in ballet, jazz, tap, pointe, hip-hop, contemporary, commercial heels, and musical theater, she has traveled the world to perform. Currently based in Vancouver, BC, Emma is a frequent presence in the film and TV industry as both a dancer and choreographer. She is passionate about sharing her skills and experience with others, and teaches weekly classes at two of Vancouver’s top drop-in studios, Harbour Dance Center and Studio North. She is a valued member of Triple Threat Dance Convention after assisting for over 6 years and recently joined faculty as the mock audition choreographer for their 2022 season. She has also been recommended as an assistant by many renowned choreographers, including Jillian Myers, Megan Lawson, Sean Cheesman, and Tyce Dyorio.

Emma’s professional dance career began with live performances, including contracts with Royal Caribbean International as a featured dancer and aerialist. She has also performed at the FIFA Women’s World Cup opening ceremonies, and had the opportunity to dance alongside Nile Rodgers and CHIC, opening for the iconic Cher.

Since her move to Vancouver, she has excelled in the film and TV industry, with credits on popular shows such as Riverdale, Charmed (CW), Yellowjackets (Showtime), and Virgin River (Netflix). In addition to her work on screen, Emma has contributed to the creative process as part of skeleton crews for prestigious choreographers including Mandy Moore, Heather Laura Gray, and Louise Hradsky. She has also found a love for motion and performance capture, and is proud to have created the unique zombie movement for the creatures in the Warner Bros video game Back 4 Blood. Her latest works include dancing on a new Disney+ series for choreographer Moe Brody, and working as a recurring dancer and member of the skeleton crew on the highly anticipated Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies for Paramount+, choreographed by Jamal Sims. In addition to her work as a performer, Emma is dedicated to learning, teaching, adjudicating, and connecting with the upcoming generation of dancers.
