Cyrena Fiel

ACTRA

Impassioned with the desire to create art and change, Cyrena Fiel is a passionate singer, songwriter, and actor, deeply inspired by the world around her. She began singing at the age of 3, playing piano at 9, song-writing at 12, and dancing at 13, having trained with Canadian Dance Company competitively for 4 years in ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop, and contemporary.

Cyrena has found her footing in the worlds of recording artists and theatre performers. After discovering her love of musicals at 12, she has carried on making the stage her second home. She currently attends the Etobicoke School of the Arts as a musical theatre major and in their recent production, played the role of Hodel in “Fiddler on the Roof”. Some favourite past roles have been: Olive Ostrovsky in “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee”, Chloe Valentine, in the Canadian premiere of “Be More Chill”, and her role as Carmela, in the Toronto Fringe Festival production of “Drama 101”.

At the age of 14, she composed her debut single, “Love” which reached all platforms in February 2018. Currently, she is gearing up to release an EP of self-written songs, and hopes to one day become a successful recording artist as well as a Broadway performer.

Understanding the healing properties of music and art, she furthermore believes its ability to promote positive change within the globe and ourselves. She aspires to advocate for Asian representation and marginalized peoples in mainstream media, as well as mental health and body positivity, and more.

Cyrena is excited for the future, delving into the wonders on-screen acting and is encouraged to always remember that without love, there is no purpose.
