Cassidy Woodward

ACTRA APPRENTICE

Cassidy was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario and first fell in love with singing at her first lesson at the age of 5 years old and has since then pursued every other form of triple threat art form from dance including pointe ballet, jazz, a love of tap and acting workshops out of NY in her dream of pursuing Broadway or the West End.

Her passion for the stage began when she first played Annie in Annie at the Lower Ossington Theatre and since then has played anything from Little Sally in Urinetown, Sandy Cheeks in Spongebob the Musical to Ellie Blake in Freaky Friday the Musical, to Erma in Anything Goes at the prestigious Interlochen Academy of the Arts in Interlochen Michigan. She also recently tried out the opera stage as a super in the Marriage of Figaro at the Canadian Opera Center.

Cassidy is a student in Musical Theatre at the Etobicoke School of the Arts and a member of the ESA Show Choir Splash.  She is the singing Rail Car Sandy in the Thomas the Train Go-Engines-Go (Mattel) sing-a-long voice animation series and is a National Anthem singer for the Toronto Blue Jays at the Rogers Center.  Cassidy has recently made her first TV debut in the upcoming series How to Fail as Popstar (CBC Gem) with hopes for more hours on the stage, studio, film and television.

When Cassidy isn’t pursuing her dreams she is either out with her friends and many siblings, playing volleyball, or acting as one of her many favorite Disney Princesses, especially Rapunzel, at birthday parties and events throughout GTA.
