Camille Orate

ACTRA

Camille (she/her) is an actor, singer-songwriter, and dancer. She has been performing on stage since the age of two and has loved it ever since.

Camille is currently in Grade 11 at Wexford Collegiate for the Arts in the Musical Theatre program. Camille also trains and works with Kurt Sampson, a member of the Toronto-renowned a capella group ‘Cadence’. He trains her in vocal, ear and music theory as well as ukulele.

Camille loves to dance, specifically hip-hop. Camille trains at BUDO in Motion Performing Arts under Jordan Francis as well as Keystone Dance Studio in their Youth Training Program. She has performed at different events for her dance school.

Camille has a passion for acting. She honed her skills during performances for church musicals and school plays, but more recently enrolled in LB Acting Workshops for acting training. Camille is looking forward to seeing herself on the big screen in the upcoming Netflix movie “13 the Musical”.

Camille has joined and competed in several singing competitions: LiveCity (finalist), Long and McQuade Singing Contest (semi-finalist) and Singing Idol (finalist). She has competed at the CNE Rising Star with her former girl band. She has been a guest performer in several events across the GTA: Annual Global Youth Day, Sing Festival and many more. She has recorded her first original song ‘This Love’. She had her first solo concert ‘This is Me – Camille! in 2019 at the North York Library Theatre. She also guested as a dancer for Dr. Ally K’s “The Mean Girl” music video.

Camille plans to continue to improve and hone her craft; to give her very best to every performance. This has given her so much satisfaction and it has been a very rewarding experience as she enjoys her journey as an artist.
