Autumn-Joy Dames

Autumn-Joy Dames (she/her), originally from The Bahamas, is an energetic, fierce and dynamic Toronto-based triple threat. She has performed in musicals across Canada appearing in The Soul of Motown (Stage West Calgary), Beautiful; The Carol King Musical (Drayton Entertainment), Grease (Mayfield Dinner Theatre) and Legally Blonde (Hart House Theatre). She was also seen touring the U.S. on the North American tour of ‘Shopkins Live!’ (Koba Entertainment). She has also worked extensively on many national commercials. 

Growing up, Autumn-Joy trained in numerous dance styles including ballet, jazz, tap and hip hop. She also trained vocally as a member of The Bahamas National Youth Choir, which afforded her the opportunity to perform throughout Germany, Cuba and Italy, where she had the honour of singing in St. Peter’s Basilica. Autumn-Joy then studied Theatre Performance, graduating from Holland College.

She is extremely passionate about building community and helping fellow actors of color especially other immigrants through training and collaboration.
