Amara Jane

Born in London, England, Amara showed a keen aptitude for the arts from a young age.
She quickly discovered that channelling her creative energy into performance was not only productive, but also joyful and fulfilling. After immersing herself in singing, dancing and acting, she became most drawn to acting, with a natural gift for empathy and a fascination with human behaviour.

Amara was awarded two drama scholarships during her time in secondary school, where she became heavily involved in school productions, while completing LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) examinations. Alongside her school commitments she was an active member in local theatre groups and was invited to be a part of the National Youth Theatre of Great Britain.

With her dual citizenship, Amara moved to Toronto in 2019, which coincided with her shift in focus towards acting for film and television. She is an ambitious and grounded individual. While knowing her eventual goal was to pursue a career in entertainment, she placed a heavy focus on first honing her craft. In Toronto, she continues to train with multiple studios across the city, resulting in a solid skillset for entering the industry.

Amara approaches her work with a strong sense of integrity, valuing genuine hard work and grit. In other words, there is no cheat sheet for success. She has developed a profound respect and understanding of the importance in remaining receptive to life’s many lessons, which ultimately lead to growth. Dedication to this mentality is fuelled by a fierce determination to thrive in her experiences. Maintaining balance is a key component of keeping oneself playful, so in her spare time she enjoys painting, writing and spending time connecting with nature.
