Alysse Ernewein

Hailing from the mountains of Canmore Alberta, Alysse Ernewein is an international triple threat performer, who now splits her time between Toronto and Alberta. Her work ethic, passion, versatility, and radiant personality is what sets her apart. She is a strong singer, actor, dancer, as well as singer songwriter, and is always finding new ways to grow as an artist! Alysse studied alongside West End actress, Michelle Todd, as well as received the Governor General Award for Academics upon graduating from Randolph College for the Performing Arts. 

Since graduating, Alysse has gone on to perform internationally from Japan to the UAE, Mexico, China, and to all across the USA and Canada, as well as the Atlantic Ocean with We Will Rock You (North American Tour & Royal Caribbean Productions), Fame (Dubai tour), Urinetown (STF), Cinderella (STF),  Royal Caribbean Productions and many more. Recently, Alysse had her Off-Broadway debut at Madison Square Garden as Oz in We Will Rock You, as well as a Directorial Debut with Minotaur, Canmore Summer Theatre Festival.

In her early years, Alysse dabbled with creating music and even co-wrote a musical for her high school, in which she choreographed and composed the musical numbers. Later years brought on her folk music charm, where she recorded an EP of original compositions with Canada’s award winning producer, Russell Broom, entitled ‘Stairway to the Stars.” 

Alysse is trained in classical voice, jazz, folk/country, music theatre and pop/rock, giving her a versatile tool belt to draw from. Her musical talents also include playing guitar, ukulele and piano.

Alysse is not a stranger to film/TV and has appeared in some Canadian commercials, as well as most recently appearing in an episode of Murder Wall, on CBC Reality.

Hungry to keep growing and learning, between contracts Alysse is frequently attending dance classes at Metro Movement, studying new vocal techniques and collaborating on new projects. Passionate, professional, and diligent with a dash of quirky, Alysse brings a vibrant air into the room and always strives to spark minds along the way.
