Alice Lapyko
“Your need for acceptance can make you invisible in this world. Don’t let anything stand in the way of the light that shines through this form. Risk being seen in all of your glory.”
– Jim Carrey

Alice Lapyko (she/her) is a young actress situated in Toronto. She started doing plays at the age of 5 and would perform on a yearly basis if not more. She continued following this passion, doing musical theatre at Woodroffe High School in her hometown of Ottawa. After graduating high school, Alice got a lead role in a music video and a supporting role in a short film. She couldn’t find much more opportunities for acting in Ottawa other than background, however this too helped her see what it would really be like on a big set.

Since Alice wanted more, she started studying at Toronto Film School and moved to Toronto in order to pursue this career. In school, she enjoyed taking on roles such as Jamie in Friends with Benefits, Stella and Blanche in A Streetcar Named Desire and Zeus, Philoetius and 4 other roles in an adapted Homer’s Odyssey. Since arriving in Toronto, she has done more short films, some commercials and once again was a lead in a music video. She also directed and starred in her own horror comedy short film, greenlit by her school.

Outside of acting, Alice also enjoys modelling and has done video and photo shoots for a bridal boutique as well as a few runways. Growing up she also always enjoyed dancing and has learnt a bit of ballroom, ballet, jazz, hip hop and contemporary dancing. Another passion of Alice’s is music, as she grew up immersing herself in it daily and dreamed of singing in front of audiences as well one day. Some of her hobbies include sports such as snowboarding, skiing, basketball, volleyball, football, softball, badminton, frisbee and tennis. Alice is trilingual knowing fluent English, French and Russian, as well as a bit of Spanish. Finally, Alice is a big fan of fictional books, especially of the dystopian genre, and would love to bring a book to life as a strong female lead!
