Alex MacIsaac

Non Union

From an early age, it was evident Alex MacIsaac was born to perform. She is a natural triple threat who loves to act, sing, and dance. She started singing before she could talk and is always “in song.” She brings contagious positive energy wherever she goes, makes friends easily, and is a joy to be around.

Alex’s musical theatre journey began in 2018, at age 7, when she performed in a lead role in Seussical: The Musical as one of the Jojo’s at her elementary school. She’s since continued to train with Vancouver Performing Stars in Musical Theatre, one highlight playing Rainbow Fish in The Rainbow Fish Musical in 2022. In the summer of 2023, Alex made her debut on a professional stage, performing as Hortensia in Matilda the Musical with Theatre Under The Stars. She made a great impression and was awarded the Grace MacDonald Award for Most Promising Dancer by the creative team. Alex then went on to join the Children’s Chorus in the Arts Club Theatre’s production of Elf: The Musical for the Christmas season.

At the 2023 Vancouver Kiwanis Music Festival, Alex placed first in the Musical Theatre Comedy and Musical Theatre Variety vocal categories in her age group. In recognition of her talent and high achievement she was awarded a scholarship and selected by the Voice Adjudicator to compete at the BC Provincial Music Festival. There she placed second (first runner-up) in the U14 Junior Musical Theatre competition.

In addition to Alex’s vocal and musical theatre training, she is a member of the Vancouver Performing Stars Dance Team where she trains in ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, and hip hop and competes in local competitions. She has a couple commercials under her belt and continues to take acting classes. In her down time Alex loves spending time with her family, cousins, and friends and playing piano. She aspires to be a successful performer and director.
