“You’re only given one little spark of madness. You mustn’t lose it.”
– Robin Williams

The cold and snowy weather of his hometown of Edmonton, Alberta never dwindled the flame that was Zac Bellward’s passion for the arts. From a young age, it was clear he would pursue a career in the performing arts as he found the most joy in entertaining those around him. Music has been a constant in Zac’s life and he found his voice through piano lessons and his involvement with the Kokopelli choir organization over the course of many years. Attending Victoria School of the Arts from grades 7 to 12, he further developed his passion for the performing arts, starring in shows such as Beauty and The Beast, West Side Story, Shrek the Musical, and In the Heights.

Zac now practices on the unceded traditional territory of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. In January of 2020, he began the acting program at Studio 58, where he recently portrayed Dr. Frank N Furter in a career defining performance for their production of The Rocky Horror Show.

Zac will never back down from a challenge. He approaches his work and everyone he meets with compassion and generosity. He is constantly seeking to expand his awareness of the world, the work, and those around him. Zac feels privileged to be in this line of work where he can express his complete self and tell meaningful and impactful stories. He found his voice through a variety of artists that helped raise him, shaping him into the artist he is today and he can only hope to do the same for others.
