Xavier Tu
Dancer, Actor

Since learning his first steps at local street dance sessions as a child, Xavier has been enamored with movement and the performing arts. Beginning his journey in the competitive crew scene and training under the tutelage of Andrew “Pyro” Chung and Mariano “Glizzi” Abarca in street styles, Xavier has since acquired multidisciplinary dance knowledge from directors and choreographers from across North America, applying it to both the international competitive dance crew scene and the commercial dance world.

Xavier has been featured as a dancer in campaigns by Sportchek and Wal-Mart and has performed at major sporting events in Toronto such as the 2015 Pan-Am Games, Toronto Argonauts games as a member of the Double Blue Crew, and Toronto Raptors games as a member of the North Side Crew and the Raptors YYZ. He has also been part of many stage projects by Toronto choreographers at shows such as Choreographer’s Carnival NYC, Toronto’s Original Choreographer’s Ball, The Industry Night, Fever After Dark, and many more.

Endlessly passionate about refining and improving his craft, Xavier has trained in dance companies around Toronto such as The Male Initiative under the direction of Shavar Blackwood, and The Vibe under the direction of George Jones Jr. Through these companies, he has been able to learn from choreographers such as Leon Blackwood, Mark Samuels, Kojo “Tuch” Mayne, Gadfly, Soraya Lundy, Derrell Bullock, and more.”
