– Babe Ruth

Tristan is a dancer, artist, and athlete, born and raised in Vancouver, BC. He grew up as a multi-sport athlete, and while dance never played a big role in his childhood, he has always been blessed with rhythm. It wasn’t until the age of 15, when he gave up competitive sport to join his school’s dance team. That same year, he signed up for a local dance studio and trained in hip-hop, street jazz, and freestyle. This opened doors to the competitive scene, and he joined TwoFourSeven Company a few years later. He had the opportunity to compete at dance competitions such as World of Dance, Artists Emerge, and the World Hip Hop Championships where they represented Team Canada.

After several years of competitive dance, he co-founded a local training program called Illustrative Society alongside Joe Tuliao. Their goal was unite a collective of creatives aspiring to work as professional dancers, and equip them with the critique and guidance necessary to succeed in the industry. Since it’s conception, Illustrative Society has created several productions here in Vancouver including ‘Motus,’ ‘Mantra,’ and most recently, ‘Transcend,’ which will be premiering in April of 2018.

Tristan has also performed many times at The Main Event, competed in Nike North America’s Got Talent, and was featured in Kokaholla’s most recent music video, ‘High With Me.’ He continually trains at Studio 604 and Harbour Dance Centre to further his craft and artistry, and hopes to build on his career as a professional in the dance industry.

In 2016 Tristan obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and Minor in Commerce from UBC. He has a passion for leading sport and dance programs for young children and serving as an ambassador for healthy living amongst the youth. When he is not dancing, Tristan can be found participating in recreational sport, exploring the outdoors, or studying new ways to expand his tool box of creativity.
