“Practice like you’ve never won. Perform like you’ve never lost.”

Born in Vancouver, British Columbia, Tori Chun is a dedicated and dynamic Korean-Canadian dancer praised for her kindness, strong work ethic and technique.

Tori frequently travels across North America to compete at Break the Floor Conventions where she most notably earned the coveted title of “Beat Squad” – being awarded Winner Scholarships at all three BTF events – Nuvo, 24Seven and Jump Dance Conventions. These year-long tour scholarships have provided many opportunities for Tori to compete – consistently placing Top 3 – and to be trained by some of the most highly sought after choreographers in the industry.

Tori’s ability to pick up and execute fast paced choreography and stand out in a room auditioning with hundreds of dancers is one of her greatest strengths. Her personality shines on the dance floor and faculty often call her out onto stage or center to demonstrate their choreography. Being called out is always a highlight for her!

This past year Tori had the great honour of being awarded 3rd overall Contemporary Soloist in Canada at YAGP (Youth America Grande Prix) and was invited to compete at their prestigious YAGP Finals. She was also awarded Synergy Provincial Champion Runner-up for her Contemporary Solo.

In Vancouver, Tori trains at Pulse Dance Centre in all genres of dance – Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Ballet, Pointe, Lyrical, Modern, Acro, Tap – and is forever grateful to all of her dedicated teachers.

Outside of dance, Tori loves to bake – this girl loves sugar, to draw, snowboard and spend time with her family and best friends, and most importantly her dog, Muffin.
