Teilani is a well-rounded enthusiastic performer with a passion for musical theatre, singing, and dance. She is half Samoan/half Caucasian with a unique presence and dynamic energy on and off the stage.

Teilani started singing at age five, and has been performing ever since. With an infectious and fun personality, she has always embraced life with confidence, hard work and focus. She pours her heart and soul into every opportunity with a determination and maturity beyond her years.

In her years of training at Arts Umbrella and Lindbjerg Academy of Performing Arts, her favourite roles included Ladahlord in James and the Giant Peach, Carmen in FAME, and Rafiki in Lion King.

She has hit the stage in a few local productions including Align Entertainment’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, and Fabulists production of Once on this Island.

Teilani is a proud member of the Perry Ehrlich Showstoppers choir and has enjoyed many wonderful opportunities including performing onstage with Foreigner, singing the anthem at the Canucks game, and performing at the Ovation Awards. You might also find her at a local Salmonbellies lacrosse game belting out the anthem.

Her strong work ethic and dedication have earned her a medley of awards including Promising Performer at Youth Talent BC, Performing Arts BC Provincial Rep for Musical Theatre, and Outstanding Performer at 2019 Kiwanis Music Festival. These accomplishments were achieved through extensive training in vocals, dance (tap, hip-hop, jazz), and musical theatre.

Teilani is a self-proclaimed musical theatre geek and her spare time usually involves singing along to Broadway Musicals and working out the chords on the piano or ukulele. She also loves watching Netflix, baking cookies and chilling with her Labradoodle Charlie.

While her performance schedule keeps her busy, Teilani excels at school and is a natural athlete. She has played years of competitive soccer, joins every school team she can find time for, and enjoys competing in track and field…casually crushing the school records.

Teilani is thrilled to be a member of the da Costa team and is excited to explore new opportunities in front of the camera.
