“Passion. Honesty. Vibrant Energy.
These are the characteristics that breath within her life, and live within her work.”

Tanya is a Canadian actress born in Windsor, Ontario Canada, now residing in Los Angeles, California. She attended the Walkerville Centre for the Creative Arts in Windsor, where she majored in acting, dancing and singing. Her extra-curricular activities resulted in vocal certification through the Royal Conservatory of Music and professional dance accreditation in ballet through the Checchetti Council of America. Although her enthusiasm for performing began on the dance floor and in musical theatre, she soon realized that her favourite genre was acting in film and TV so when time allowed, she spent many weekends traveling 700 km round trip to attend acting for film and TV classes in Toronto, Ontario.

At the age of 18, Tanya attended Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, U.S.A., commuting across the international border daily. After her first year at WSU, she chose to work in Toronto for the summer hoping to book an acting role. Her career began to progress while in Toronto so she moved there permanently. She transferred her educational endeavours to George Brown College and completed a diploma in Performance Dance. While at GBC, she achieved the ‘best actor’ award for her graduating class.

To date, Tanya has had many career highlights such as a recurring role in the Hallmark series ‘Good Witch’, a guest star role in the Canadian hit series ‘Murdoch Mysteries’, a dance role in a Snoop Dogg music video and a solo lead acting role in the music video “Where’s my Love” by SYML. SYML’s music video has received over 53 million views since it was launched and continues to be viewed daily. Tanya can also be credited with several ‘hero’ roles in national commercials for Shopper’s Drug Mart, IKEA and Bell Fibe/Network. Her most memorable stage performance was as ‘Bombalurina’ in the musical CATS and her favourite memories as a dance professional were the years she spent dancing with the Toronto Argonauts ‘Dance Pack’ and living and working in Morocco.

When time permits, Tanya likes to spend her days painting with acrylics, creating and designing jewelry, exercising and learning to surf.
