“Whoever you are, or whatever it is that you do, when you really want something, it’s because that desire originated in the soul of the Universe. It’s your mission on earth.”
– Paolo Coelho

Talia VandenBrink is an actor, singer, and dancer from Vancouver. Talia started dancing and performing at age 3. Even at a very young age, she was easily able to retain choreography and from there her love for dance, music and performing, grew. She started training and competing in every style available to her: jazz, modern, Bollywood, contemporary, Polynesian, lyrical, Irish, salsa, tap, and at age 14 was asked to compete with Canada’s National Hip Hop team.

After high school, Talia spent her time backpacking; exploring different cultures and meeting people from around the world. After years of travelling, a friend invited her to watch a production of Cabaret. Passion for performing reignited, she applied for Capilano University’s Musical Theatre Diploma that night, and started school in the fall. She spent the next 3 years immersed in the world of the performing arts, training under some of the industry’s top professionals, focusing on acting for stage and screen, singing, and dancing. As soon as Talia graduated she was booked on her first professional production with Canada’s second largest Shakespeare Festival: All’s Well That Ends Well at Bard on the Beach. Since then she has been fortunate enough to work on several more stage shows, including the Canadian Premiere of Twentysomething, where she originated the role of Linden.

While in school, Talia realized that her love for acting was amplified while working on film. She now wishes to focus her career on the incredible film and television industry here in Canada. Talia is so excited to be apart of the da Costa team and is ready to show the world what she can do.
