SYDNEY MACKENZIE (she/her) is a Canadian actor and singer, currently living in Toronto, Canada. She holds a Masters in Musical Theatre from NYU and a BFA in Acting from the University of Windsor.
During her three years in the USA, Sydney performed regionally at Barrington Theatre Company, understudying the role of Neasa in Shining City and was featured in a new works cabaret directed by resident artist William Finn (Spelling Bee, Falsettos) . In New York, she originated the role of Cynthia in workshops of Crowned, by Anton Dudley and Brian Feinstein, directed by Peter Flynn. She was seen as Viola in the Provincetown Playhouse production of Twelfth Night, directed by Jessica Bashline.
On screen, Sydney was featured as Amy Skipper on NBC Universal’s An Unexpected Killer, as Catherine Greenwood on Investigation Discovery’s See No Evil, as Patricia on Shadow of Doubt and opposite Nick Jonas in a Simon Premium Outlets Commercial.
When not performing or watching others onstage and screen, Sydney is most likely drinking excessive amounts of coffee in good company, teaching pilates and boxing, running or daydreaming about her next trip to NYC.
