Sofia Rosella

Sofia Rosella is a Canadian born with a Venezuelan and Italian background. She is an energetic and passionate dancer and figure skater. She began her dance
training at Performing Dance Arts in Vaughan when she was seven years old, and she has loved it ever since. She also loves to play the piano. She is multilingual, speaking English, Spanish, French, and Italian.

Sofia has received numerous awards and scholarships, including Nuvo Breakout Artist winner, Jump VIP winner, 24/7 Non Stop Dance winner, Radix Core Performer winner, and Best Dancer contender at The Dance Awards. She was awarded 3rd runner up Mini Female Best Dancer at The Dance Awards in Orlando 2019 and became a member of the Beat Squad at Dancerpalooza in California. At Nuvo, Jump, Fever Dance Competition, and Runway Dance Connection, she won first place overall. She was named Top Acrobat at the Matricks Acro Competition. She is an ambassador for Matricks Acro and Runway Dance Connection and she also has modelled for Performing Dance Arts.

Sofia not only trains with the fantastic faculty of teachers at Performing Dance Arts, but had the amazing opportunity to learn from many international teachers and choreographers such as Stacey Tookey, Travis and Denise Wall, Randi and Hefa, Misha Gabriel, Allison Holker, Twitch, Mandy Moore, Jaci Royal, Mark Meismer, Blake McGrath, Amanda Cleghorn, Stephanie Rutherford, Danny Lawn, Tyce Diorio, Alisha Lucchese, Chelsie Jennings, Teddy Forance and much more.

Sofia is trained in Jazz, Acro, Tap, Ballet, Pointe, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre, Ballroom, Contemporary, Improv, Lyrical, and Partner work. Sofia is a French Immersion student who participates in school plays, the school choir and she is the choreographer for her school dance team. When she grows up, she wants to become a choreographer and a dance teacher. In her free time, she enjoys journaling. She is enrolled in acting classes and wants to become an actress. Sofia works very hard on everything she does and always gives it her all!
