Shelayna Christante

Shelayna Christante (she/they) is a Toronto based actor and singer-songwriter born and raised in Red Deer, Alberta. She moved to Toronto to embark on her passion for acting and performing, and graduated from George Brown Theatre School in 2023. Since graduating, Shelayna has had the absolute joy of getting to play Lucy in Bad Hats Theatre’s production of Narnia (dir. Fiona Sauder), made their Canadian Opera Company debut in Don Giovanni (dir. Amy Lane), and will be making their Blyth Festival debut acting in Onion Skins and Peach Fuzz (dir. Severn Thompson) this summer. 

In Shelayna’s free time, you can catch them embroidering flowers on everything, enjoying a little beverage such as Tim Hortons steeped tea (please sponsor me Timmies), and writing songs. Shelayna also wishes to acknowledge and thank all of the MANY many many loving, kind, warm hands that have helped to guide her along her path.
