Known to be as kind, reliable, and hard-working, as he is talented, passionate, and creative, Scott Augustine has built a long career in Canadian dance, theatre, and film and television. From his first real experience acting in a principal role in Philip Spink’s Once in a Blue Moon, Scott has worked to expand his range as an artist. His reputation of being a true triple threat was earned playing many parts in productions of the Vancouver Playhouse, Arts Club Theatre, and other reputable companies across Canada, including his career favourite role of Riff in Vancouver Opera’s production of West Side Story. Scott has toured extensively with some of the country’s most esteemed contemporary dance companies including Wen Wei Dance and the 605 Collective/Company 605. He has also choreographed in theatre, dance, and for film, television and commercials.
Scott is most inspired by the greats Gene Kelly, Mikhail Baryshnikov, and Bob Fosse, who have contributed their diverse creative abilities to many aspects of the entertainment world. Scott’s openness, generosity, and humility are refreshing in such a gifted and experienced artist. His love for, and understanding of collaboration, raise the level of every project he is involved in.
