– Josie Walsh, Choreographer

Sammie Denham is a dancer, actor, aerialist, choreographer and instructor, with an extensive background in the performing arts. Her strong versatility has made her a successful, sought after artist in the industry.

She began her training in Vancouver as a member of the Source Dance Company, and has since worked consistently in live stage, television and film. She has danced for artists such as Elise Estrada and Mariana’s Trench, performed at live at events such as the 2015 Pan Am Games Closing Ceremonies and the Times of India Film Awards. Most recently, Sammie had the privilege of performing in three original productions for Royal Caribbean Productions, created by Moment Factory. A highlight of that experience was a show called The Fine Line – an outdoor aqua show on what is currently the largest cruise ship in the world – Harmony of the Seas, in which she was part of the original cast and creation team, and performed in and out of the water as a dancer and aerialist.

As a faculty member at Harbour Dance Centre – Sammie’s dynamic and challenging choreography, combining both athleticism and style keeps her in high demand. She has taught and choreographed internationally, as part of Joffrey Ballet School’s audition tour, as well as choreographed for their New York Summer Program’s showcase. She has also worked as an assistant choreographer for Miss World Canada, SYTYCD National Dance Day, and Josie Walsh’s (Ballet RED) choreographic piece for Joffrey West – Joffrey Ballet School’s LA Summer Intensive. Sammie has toured as an assistant to world renowned choreographers with Groove Street Productions Dance Conventions, and is the creator and director of the annual ‘Summer Wake-Up Workshop’ – a week-long dance intensive that takes place on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.
