Ryder Morcilla

Ryder Morcilla has been a vibrant, energetic performer since a very young age.  Her first job working multiple days on a limited TV series at the age of 7 only affirmed her spirit for performing.  Her passion for performing inspired her to taking musical theatre classes, which then provoked her to taking acting classes.  Her strength in  professionalism, improvisation, taking direction well and ability to learn lines quickly was the starting point of working on numerous local and regional union and non-union commercials within a short amount of time. 

One of her first memorable roles was when she worked as an actor a Hallmark movie “Merry & Bright”. From there she also landed the lead role in a short film “Regalo”.  

Seeing as Ryder’s excitement for performing could not be restrained, she was cast for the lead role of “Mal” in her school musical production of “Descendants” and then the role of “Miss Trunchbull” the following year.  Not only does Ryder love acting and singing on stage, she also plays the drums and percussion in her jazz band and in the pit band of the production of her current school.

Ryder also plays club (competitive) volleyball for one of the highest ranked teams in her province.  In Ryder’s spare time, she enjoys baking, playing her guitar, ukulele and keyboard, biking, swimming, playing video games and hanging out with her family and friends.

Ryder is looking forward to learning new things and Striving to excel at everything she does.
