Ryan Wilson

Ryan’s love for performing started at an early age in his home town of Glencoe, Ontario. He started singing and acting and later developed a passion for dance when he attended the Musical Theatre Performance Program at Sheridan College. His theatre journey has taken him to many venues across North America. He has also worked with many of the top Directors and Choreographers in the business today.

His first Equity show was the Canadian Classic, Anne of Green Gables at The Charlottetown Festival. Some of his other favourite credits include the Canadian cast of Hairspray (Assistant Dance Captain/Swing); Hairspray 1st US National Tour, The Charlottetown Festival (Dance Captain/Swing); The Music Man (Dance Captain), Moby Dick, Oklahoma!, King Lear for The Stratford Festival; Irving Berlin’s: White Christmas for Neptune Theatre, Theatre Aquarius and The Royal Manitoba Theatre Center. Ryan was also Assistant Choreographer for Hairspray at The Charlottetown Festival, and You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown at The Stratford Festival.

Ryan has also ventured into the field of film and television and can be seen in national commercials for McDonalds and Staples and an array of shows including Bomb Girls (Season 1 & 2), Hellcats, Monday Report with Rick Mercer, and feature films Mirror, Mirror and the 2013 remake of Carrie and numerous others. Ryan is currently the Dance Captain and Swing for the North American Premiere of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s new production of The Wizard of Oz. Ryan aspires to one day Direct and Choreograph the shows he loves so much.
