Paul is a rare choreographer that has the instincs of a director. Paul uses his vast knowledge of dance, multimedia and film making to create elaborate spectacles. Considered to be a protege; of the genius Kenny Ortega, Paul has worked alongside Mr. Ortega on several occasions, including recently when he choreographed the Ortega directed Jonas Brothers’ concert World Tour.
Perhaps Paul’s best known credit is Hellcats (CW), starring Ashley Tisdale, for which he serves as the show’s lead choreographer. His work features a dynamic mix of dance styles meshed with an astounding athleticism and gymnastic technique that boost what could be simple cheer leading routines to a spectacular new level. What’s more, he’s even done all of the fight choreography for the show as well.

Director Zack Snyder recently hired Paul to choreograph the elaborate musical numbers of the new 100 million dollar feature film Sucker Punch starring Vanessa Hudgens and Jon Hamm. He also recently completed choreography on the film version of Diary of a Wimpy Kid, based on the New York Times bestselling children’s book series. Furthermore, Paul’s choreography on Michael Buble’s music video to his hit single “Just Haven’t Met You Yet” received rave reviews. In the video, Paul choreographed over 200 dancers. Additionally, he can be seen as a guest judge and choreographer on Canada’s #1 hit television series So You Think You Can Dance, and can lay claim to having choreographed the first full length movie made to be released on YouTube, Girl Walks into a Bar, staring Rosario Dawson.
Paul has carved himself a unique niche as a brilliant horror movie movement consultant, working as a movement coach and choreographer for movie monsters in Wes Craven’s My Soul to Take, Joss Whedon’s (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) much anticipated feature Cabin in the Woods and the soon-to-be-released Scooby Doo: Curse of the Lake Monster.
Some of his other recent credits as a choreographer include Letters to Santa: The Muppets Christmas Special, Case 39, Reaper, The L Word, Caprica, and The Goods: The Don Ready Story starring Jeremy Piven, just released on DVD. Paul’s other notable film and TV credits are Hot Rod, Talk To Me, RV, Are We Done Yet, Are We There Yet?, Eragon, The Wicker Man, and Totally Awesome. Finally, Paul was staff choreographer for Showtime’s Masters of Horror and Aliens in America and currently ABC’S “Once Upon a Time”.
