Nathaniel Belnavis-Wright

Born and raised in Newmarket Ontario, Nathaniel Belnavis-Wright (he/him) started his training at the age of 5. Growing up in his mother’s dance studio in Richmond Hill Ontario, his exposure to music and movement was there for the taking, and that’s exactly what he did, immersing himself in all that dance had to offer. Since stepping into his first dance class, Nathaniel has developed into an extremely versatile and distinctly desired dancer, teacher and choreographer. His training includes several diverse styles, Contemporary, Ballet, Jazz, Hip hop, Tap, Acrobatics. His desire to explore and develop his talent in dance, lead him to travel and reside in Miami Florida for one year, where he had the opportunity to trained with several of the industry’s top instructors and choreographers.

Nathaniel, a former NBA dancer, a member of the Toronto Raptors Lil Ballas Dance team. He has performed in various media such as: Stimorol, Mini Pop kids, Family Channel Backstage and The Next Step. He is a proud graduate of Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts and currently continuing his pursuit of growth and knowledge at Arts Umbrella studying dance.

Mr. Wright is continuously recognized for his outstanding talent and passion for the performing arts. As a choreographer his work has been recognized at several competitions receiving outstanding choreography mentions, special awards and top marks. He performed in the Netflix miniseries Self Made starring Octavia Spencer and Tiffany Haddish.

He enjoys sharing his artistry and love for dance with others on and off the stage and plans to do so for years to come.
