Nathalie Nadon

UDA | ACTRA

Nathalie Nadon recieved her acting training at the University of Ottawa Theatre Program and at the Stella Adler Conservatory of Acting of New York.

Nathalie is recognized for her artistic versatility. On stage, she leads with humor and drama, through her surprising freedom of body and mind. Her breakthrough performance in the production of Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris for the Stratford Festival brought her great reviews. Her rendition of Ne me quitte pas was referred to as heartbreaking.

Nathalie co-wrote, produced and starred in a 12 episode TV series for young people called Les aventures d’Amandine et Rosalie (adapted for the small screen from her hit plays by the same name.) The show is currently airing on Bell Fibe TV.

As a singer, Nathalie is that rare breed who recalls the past but at the same time exudes a contemporary sense of cool. This is nowhere more apparent than on her debut album So In Love, recorded with fantastic pianist and husband Michael Barber.

Nathalie is also the founding member of the award winning French Toronto based vocal trio Les Chiclettes. In 2013, the trio was awarded two Trille Or (Juno equivalent) for “Best Group of the Year” and “Emerging Artist of 2013”. The trio has toured in Canada and Europe giving over 250 performances since 2010. Les Chiclettes have recorded two albums, available on Itunes- Les Chiclettes and Voyage à Trois.

Selected productions include: Sisters of Swing: The Story of the Andrews Sisters, Cinderella (RuBarb Productions), The Pretentious Young Ladies (TFT), Rose, Épines, cendre et dentelle (written in collaboration with Lina Blais), Strawberries in January, The Baroness and the Pig, 15 seconds, The Vagina Monologues (Trillium Theatre), Requiem for a Trumpeter (La Tangente Theatre), We Will Not Forget, Spirit of a Nation (Charlottetown Festival). Television: Les aventures d’Amandine et Rosalie (1 season – 12 ep.) for Bell Fibe TV, GALALA (2 seasons – 22 ep.) for Unis TV, Warehouse 13 (1 episode) for Brav), Les Bleus de Ramville (2 season- 6 ep.), C’est d’mes affaires (1 season- 12 ep.) for TFO and We Will Not Forget (CBC Special).
