Nadya Corscadden
Actor | Singer | Dancer
“There are no shortcuts to any place worth going.”
– Beverly Sills

Nadya was born and raised in the small town of Kaleden in BC’s sunny Okanagan Valley. From a very young age, her passion for the stage was apparent. She trained in every style of dance she could from multiple studios across the valley as well as many out-of-town summer programs including the School of Alberta Ballet’s Professional Summer Program and the Banff Centre’s Dance Training Program. Her pursuit of versatility drove her to also study singing, acting and piano; all of which she maintained at a high standard. From the time that she was old enough to qualify to the time that she graduated high school, she attended the BC Festival of the Arts each year for differing disciplines: classical dance, stage dance, classical voice and musical theatre.

After leaving her hometown, Nadya went on to complete her Grade 10 RCM singing under Helga Tucker (for which she won the silver medal for the highest mark in Ontario), graduated from Sheridan College’s Music Theatre Performance program (with another silver medal for being at the top of her class), and also graduated with an MA in Music Theatre from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, UK.

Nadya has since spent two seasons at Diamond Tooth Gerties in Dawson City as a can-can dancer (and for one of those seasons, also playing Gertie herself twice a week). A few other select credits include playing the title role in Alice in Wonderland in a tour to Qatar and originating the role of Nancy in Toronto’s first production of Fancy Nancy: The Musical.

Nadya is excited to see where else her performance journey will take her. The only thing that is clear is that it is not over yet!
