Mya is a half Japanese- Canadian born dancer/actress with a natural aptitude for the industry. Born into a dance family with her parents Danny and Lisa Poland and her grandparents Brian and Faye Foley, Mya was destined to be a star! She has been dancing since she could walk at Performing Dance Arts and is a Full time competitive dancer in Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Acro, Hip hop, Musical Theatre, and Contemporary. She has received numerous top awards and scholarships at many competitions including Nuvo Breakout Artist, Jump VIP, 24/7Non Stop dancer and The Dance Awards Best Dancer competitor. She has also worked with many of the top choreographers in the industry including Emmy Award winning choreographer Tyce Diorio, Alisha Lucchese and Danny Lawn. She has attended numerous workshops and conventions and has taken class with Stacey Tookey, Travis Wall, Randi and Hefa, Misha Gabriel, Allison Holker, Twitch, Mandy Moore, Hani Abaza, Akira Uchida and Amanda Cleghorn to name just a few.

In addition, Mya has modelled for many companies including Athletix Academy, Physelite, Unique Dancewear, Performing Dance Arts, Matricks Acro, CODE ( Controlled Organization of Dance Events) and Candance. She also is a regular dance demonstrator the the ADAPT dance syllabus teacher training program.

Mya’s newest passion is for acting where she studies with Armstrong Acting Studios.

Mya enjoys all sports and outdoor activities. She especially loves skiing in Banff and spending time at the cottage with her adorable Frenchie named Reiko. She is currently 13 years old and in Grade 7 at Lester B. Pearson P.S. in the French Immersion program.

Mya is very eager to start this journey and can’t wait to see what her future holds.
