“Montgomery is an absolute delight to work with, and a tremendous asset to any production he’s involved in. A consummate professional, he always exceeds expectation whether it’s in regard to acting, singing, or the myriad of instruments he plays with extraordinary proficiency.”
– Kraig Waye

Having studied piano and theory at the Royal Conservatory of Music, Montgomery is an accomplished classical and jazz pianist. He is a classical and musical theatre vocalist and has appeared with numerous ensembles including Vancouver’s Laudate Singers. Montgomery is also a multi-instrumentalist who plays drums, percussion, tuba, various wind instruments, and has worked professionally as a jazz saxophonist across Canada. While he received music scholarships to Berklee College of Music and the McGill University’s music program, he stayed close to home and briefly attended the jazz program at Capilano College before moving to Toronto to study as an actor.

He began acting at an early age and eventually trained at both the Randolph Academy for Performing Arts and Vancouver Film School. Montgomery also received training in tap, jazz, ballet, and ballroom dance. Since then, he has acted throughout British Columbia and Ontario including the Canadian premieres of Million Dollar Quartet, Casino Royale, and A Little Green Leaf. Between acting contracts, Montgomery Directs and Musical Directs theatre and teaches workshops for young singers who wish to focus on their acting.

Montgomery’s diverse experience is a wonderful asset to his work as an actor. He has a Bachelor of Arts with Honours and an Executive MBA in Business. He has worked in many areas including retail, real estate, film, security, project management, and foreign exchange trading. While he has played many sports, notably Montgomery trained as a competitive swimmer and qualified to represent Canada as an athlete at the Multisport World Championships. He speaks intermediate-level French having studied at the Alliance Française in Toronto and the Centre Internationale d’Antibes. Montgomery also has a passion for flying. He holds a Transport Canada Private Pilot’s Licence with Night Rating and Floatplane Endorsement and is nearing the completion of his Commercial Pilot’s Licence.

Montgomery is thrilled to be represented by the wonderful team at da Costa Talent.
