Megan Rota

Born and raised in Greater Vancouver, BC, Megan found her love for dance at an early age, training at Encore Dance Academy in styles such as jazz, ballet, contemporary, hip hop, musical theatre, acrobatics and tap.

Megan has had the opportunity to train at various studios around Canada, New York and Los Angeles. (Broadway Dance Centre, Millennium Dance Complex and Edge Performing Arts). She competed with Team Canada in the World Dance Championships in Poland, placing top three in the ballet category. Megan has also furthered her training through multiple intensives such as- Camp Protégé (Stacey Tookey) The Next Step (Kelly Konno) and The Alberta Ballet.

After Megan graduated high school, she furthered her training through Harbour Dance Centre’s Intensive Training Program under the direction of Moe Brody. This opened Megan up to more commercial dance styles and molded her into the versatile dancer she is today.

A few of Megan’s favourite credits thus far include: dancing for Royal Caribbean Cruise Line’s “Quantum of the Seas” in China and Japan; working on episode 105 of “The Twilight Zone” (CBS); appearing on a National Nintendo commercial and dancing for award winning PRP productions at various live events.

Megan’s energetic and positive attitude make her a sought after member of any team. Megan loves performing for an audience on stage and in front of the camera and is very excited and open minded for what the future has in store.
