Megan Moniz
Actor, Dancer
“If you really want to fly, just harness your power to your passion.”
– Oprah Winfrey

Megan was an energetic child who loved to dance, sing and perform for her family and friends. This inspired her parents to enrol her in dance classes at the age of 3. She began dancing competitively at age 6, and by age 8 Megan made her television debut as Amaryllis in Disney’s The Music Man. She thoroughly enjoyed dancing, acting and singing in front of the camera, and was honoured to receive the Brampton Arts Acclaim Award for this role. Megan went on to dance in other film projects such as Bravo! Fact, Harriet the Spy: Blog Wars, Rick Mercer Report; instructional dance videos for Bella Dancerella, and Get Up ‘N Move; and commercials for The Bay and Marshals.

Megan is a graduate of Mayfield Secondary School where she was a dance major in the Regional Arts Program. Megan was honoured to receive the Award of Excellence in Physical Education and Dance, as well as the Brampton Arts Council RBC Artistic Achievement bursary for her excellence in the performing arts. Megan has also appeared in numerous stage performances outside of school such as the Bell Mobility Celebrity Gala, the Aces Junior Jays, the Book Lovers Ball and the live season finales of YTV’s The Next Star.

For the past 15 years Megan has developed her skills in jazz, tap, ballet, acrobatics, contemporary, hip hop, point, and partnering. Megan also shares a passion for health in fitness. She is a CanFit Pro certified fitness instructor, and loves to take yoga, cardio and muscle conditioning classes in her spare time. Along with dance and fitness training, Megan has also received acting coaching from Lewis Baumander, Jeff Marshal, and Genevieve Cholette, to prepare for her recurring actor roles on Wingin’ It and Baxter. Megan absolutely loves to perform and is excited to continue to share her passion on stage and in front of the camera.
