Megan Caines is a passionate performer born and raised in Richmond Hill, Ontario. This 19 year old dancing sensation found her love for dance at Vlad’s Dance Company at the age of 13, where she began to grow and evolve into the artist she is today. Prior to dance, Megan had her sights on the 2016 Olympics for gymnastics. She trained 6 hours each day at Sports Seneca and won numerous awards at the national level on beam, bars, floor and vault. After a summer intensive at Vlad’s Dance Company, Megan quickly realized dancing was her life and she’s spent the past 6 years training each day to perfect her technique and grow into a professional performer. This award winning artist excels in many different areas including ballet, pointe, jazz, acrobatics, partnering, contemporary, hip-hop, ballroom, modern, freestyle, tumbling, choreography, musical theatre, acting, singing and modelling.

Megan has won numerous national and international titles as a soloist, duet partner and group member. After being awarded 1st Runner – up Senior Soloist at “The Dance Awards” in Florida this year, she was asked out of thousands of dancers to represent Dancer Palooza as a member of the “2017 Beat Squad” in Los Angeles.

Megan has also been featured as an actress/dancer in many television shows such as “The Next Step”, “Backstage”, “Degrassi”, and “Star Trek”. She also danced in the new Hallmark Movie – “Magical Christmas Ornament”. Megan also performed 42 shows as a Dancer and Magician’s Assistant on “The Illusionists, Live from Broadway”.

This young artist has also starred in many promotional events including “The Nut Cracker” for MAC Cosmetics as well as “Welcoming Spring” for the Eaton Centre. Megan has performed in the past 10 shows with the professional dance company “Bridge to Artists”. She also teaches and shares her knowledge with young dancers across Canada.

Megan continues to dance, act, sing and teach in the Toronto area and has recently signed a contract with Stratford Festival starring Gracie Shinn in “The Music Man” starting January through to November 2018.
