At a very young age, Maya was filming short movies and at home performances on her Ipod with friends.  At the age of 9 Maya starred in her first school play which fueled her love of acting into theatre. As part of a musical theatre program with “Art House” at Sheridan College, she was cast as Jasmine in Disney’s “Aladdin”, Balloo the Bear in “Jungle Book”, Lily St. Regis in “Annie”, and Simba in the “Lion King”.  She continued to build on her theatre resume by starring as Sorority sister Pilar in “Legally Blonde” and the Bakers Wife in the Disney musical “Into the Woods” with Innovative Arts.  Her film credits include a lead role as “Sammy” in the movie “48 Christmas Wishes”, she has also appeared as a special agent in an episode of the kids television show “Odd Squad” and is currently filming and playing the lead role of “Olivia” in the TV Series “The Ponysitters Club”.

Maya loves to hang out with her friends, bake and cook with her grandma, play with her many younger cousins and travel with her family.  You can usually hear her singing show tunes at the top of her lungs throughout the house.  As an honour role student, wise beyond her years, she prides herself on being a true professional and making friends wherever she goes.
