She was born and raised in St.Catharines, Ontario and currently resides in Toronto, Ontario. Marisa has extensive dance training and has competed for the past eleven years. She is an extremely versatile dancer who excels in multiple genres including jazz, tap, hip hop, ballet, pointe, lyrical, contemporary, modern, partnering and freestyle.

Throughout Marisa’s competitive career, she was consistently recognized for her strong technique and performance quality, receiving a multitude of top awards, scholarships and titles at the regional, national and international levels. Some of her most significant achievements include traveling to Poland with Team Canada’s ballet, modern and jazz teams in 2014 and bringing home a Gold and Bronze Medal, being crowned with the title of ‘Teen Miss Bedazzled Dance Champion 2018,’ winning 2nd Runner-Up for the title of ‘Intermediate One Shot Soloist’ in 2018 at the ‘One Nationals’ in Orlando, earning the title of ‘Senior Limitless Dancer’ at ‘No Limits Dance Experience’ in Toronto in 2019, being the 2nd Highest Scoring Soloist of the ‘Hit the Floor’ Tour in 2019, receiving 1st Place Pas De Deux at the ‘Youth America Grand Prix’ Canada-wide Virtual Competition in 2021 and being one of 10 Canadians to receive a ‘Break the Floor’ scholarship at the 2020 ‘Break the Floor Live’ event.

Marisa also experienced great success on the Canadian Dance Awards and American Dance Awards stages. Her top solo scores across many different genres of dance earned her the prestigious standing of being a four-time Ultimate Challenge Winner between 2019 and 2021. This led her to compete on the national stages in New York City and Boston. Marisa was one of the Top 10 Finalists in the Teen Title Competition at the American Dance Awards Nationals in New York City in 2019. This accomplishment was followed by her most recent title of 1st Runner-Up ‘America’s Senior Female Dancer of the Year 2021’ in Boston where she also received the highest ballet and modern audition class scores. In addition to her tremendous success in the competition world, Marisa has also had many performance opportunities both on stage and in front of the camera. She danced lead roles in Niagara Ballet’s productions of ‘The Nutcracker’ including the Sugar Plum Fairy, Snow Queen, Lead Flower and Chinese Tea between the years of 2018 and 2020. Also with Niagara Ballet, she took on the role of the Fairy Godmother during their 2019 production of ‘Cinderella.’ Other performances include dancing backup for the Mini Pop Kids in 2017 and 2018 and dancing in music videos for a variety of Toronto based artists. This further fueled her passion as an artist and solidified her dream of pursuing a career as a performer. Nothing excites her more than being on the stage or in front of the camera and she cannot wait to see what her future holds. Marisa is eager to continue to build upon her past experiences and turn her dreams into a reality.
