Marie-Anne Ross started dancing and performing at the age of 9 in Ottawa, Canada where she was exposed to Hip Hop, African Dance, Juggling and Piano. Her passion for performing arts grew quickly and led her to train and compete in many other styles of dance such as, Contemporary, Jazz, Acrobatics, Contortion and Ballet (RAD). It also led her to pursue her secondary education at De La Salle, a French art school, where she studied Theatre for 4 years.

In Toronto, Marie-Anne’s strong work ethic and passion for performing led her to receive mentorship from some of Canada’s renowned choreographers such as, Shavar Blackwood (Eye Candy), Tamina Pollack-Paris (Girls Club), Leon Blackwood, Apolonia Vasquez and Ofilio Sinbadinho (Aybrid). She has also trained under international choreographers Gil Duldulao, Luther Brown and Tanisha Scott.

Marie-Anne has worked for artists including Hedley, Mia Martina, Deborah Cox, Serani, Our Lady Peace and others. She has performed for the Toronto Raptors (Esie Mensah, Black Stars), Toronto Fashion Week (Scott Fordham), Makeup Forever (GADFLY) and Uncle Ben’s (Mark Samuels). Most recently, Marie-Anne travelled with Royal Caribbean’s Harmony of the Seas and performed over 200 shows of “The Fine Line”, an acrobatic aqua production choreographed by Shay Kuebler.

Marie-Anne is a strong believer in self development and continues to further her training in Street Styles such as Popping, Locking, House and Breaking with Footnotes Elite, under the direction of Andrew “Pyro” Chung and Mariano (Twisted Ankles).
