Madison Williams (she/her) or best known as MadMovement started her dance journey at the age of 6 and continues to thrive in the industry today. She knew from early on that this was going to be her passion and nothing was going to stop her from doing it. Her training began at Durham Dance Centre in Pickering focusing on many genres of dance; Tap, Jazz, Ballet, Hip-Hop, and Contemporary. Because her teachers emphasized the importance of mastering all styles of dance, Madison continues to train in all genres in top cities like Toronto, LA, and NYC to this day. She gives credit to her teachers for helping her embark on this dance journey.

Growing up in her competitive years, both high school and university, Madison was noticed by many which gained her tons of special recognition, special awards and scholarships among all her competitors. To name a few, she won free scholarships to train at Broadway Dance Centre (NYC), Millennium Dance Complex (LA), and Underground Dance Centre (Toronto). She was chosen to dance in Disney’s “Young Dancer’s Show”, participate in various shows in the GTA,assist choreographers at their workshops and compete in the International Dance Organization (IDO) in Germany. Because she had done so well for herself, Madison knew she had to continue dance beyond her teenage years! She moved into the professional world after completing her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Guelph where she studied Psychology and Marketing Management.

Madison currently does live performances, film and television. She starred as the principal dancer in 5Gum’s “You’re On in 5” choreographed by Luther Brown, has been featured as an actress/dancer on Netflix Series, performed at the NBA All Star Opening Ceremony (Cirque Du Soleil), and was an actress on OUTtv (USA) to name a few. She also continues to work and train with top choreographers in Toronto and the GTA such as Leon Blackwood, Chris Clarke, Dan Cruz, and Fernando “JR” Valles.

Although Madison loves to dance, she also loves teaching her drop-in classes.MadMovement currently teaches at many dance studios across the GTA, does Hip-Hop drop-in classes for The Movement Project and would like to expand MadMovement to Toronto studios. She teaches and choreographs not only in hip-hop but also strength and conditioning classes, lyrical, contemporary, and jazz classes.

Madison will continue to work hard towards her goals while sharing her love for dance, performance, and teaching among her students and peers.
