“One can choose to go back toward safety or forward toward growth. Growth must be chosen again and again; fear must be overcome again and again.”
– Abraham Maslow

Lucas John Ng is a Toronto-based actor who is originally from Vancouver, BC. After graduating from university with a Communications degree, he made his way to work in Public Relations at FOX International Channels in Hong Kong. While working his desk job at FOX, it was there that he got his first taste of acting as he was scouted to be featured in two FOX commercials that were aired all over East Asia.
After his stint in Hong Kong, he arrived back in Vancouver to work and save money before moving to Toronto. It was in Toronto that he still pursued his media/entertainment passions as a Production Coordinator at a VFX studio and a Creative Development Coordinator at an animation house. Still, the acting bug was there.

Realizing that something had to give, he quit the comfort of his job in 2019 and fully pursued his acting passion. He has trained all over Toronto – from LB Acting Studio, EVN Studios, to Ryerson University. Most recently, he’s been featured in an Etsy national campaign and had booked a role in Smithsonian Channel’s Age of Samurai: Battle for Japan.

When not on your screen, you can catch him auditioning, podcasting, or training at an acting studio.
