Leah Thomas is a Toronto based artist who began her journey as a professional dancer at the young age of three. This versatile dancer trained for 14 years at Mississauga School of Dance in ballet, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, tap, acrobatics, musical theatre and hip hop. While competing internationally Leah won prestigious awards, titles and scholarships at competitions such as; The Dance Awards, Tremaine and Artist Simply Human. In addition to earning Distinction in Grade 1-8 of Royal Academy of Dance Ballet syllabus examinations. At 21 years old Leah graduated from York University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Honors Degree in Dance and Con-Current Education Degree in the Primary/Junior Division.

Recently as a Principal Dancer in The Tony Award Winning After Midnight Musical, Choreographed by Warren Carlyle, Leah performed in over 130 shows during her eight-month contract aboard the Norwegian Escape. In 2018 & 2019 Leah was a Raptors 905 Saugacity Dancer/Co-Captain where she performed at NBA G League games in Jazz Funk & Hip Hop. Over the years she has been fortunate to learn from talented artist such as; Jason Sparks, Mariah Sampson, John Ottman, Shavar Blackwood, David Norsworthy & Tokyo. Leah has had the opportunity to dance in Christina Digiuseppe’s Contemporary works Exyst & Mizpah, Echo Dance Company’s Breaking Formality, Shavar Blackwood’s Eye Candy Production Euphoria in addition to many Toronto Showcases; Fever AfterDark, Choreographers Ball and Young Creators Challenge.

Leah is known as a professional, hard-working and passionate dancer, teacher and choreographer within the Greater Toronto Area. She continues to expand her vocabulary of movement by training with esteemed educators and is now a proud member of the Professional Adjudicators Alliance. Leah Thomas continues to strive for her dreams and looks forward too many more opportunities in the entertainment industry worldwide.
