“Laura is an actress who always brings an activated internal life to her story telling which enables her to access everything the story needs.”
– P. Lynn Johnson

Laura Lyall grew up performing. She started singing before she could speak and from a young age she played piano and guitar. At the age of 8 Laura was enrolled in Langley Fine Arts School. This gave her the freedom to explore new art forms such as dance and theatre. With the school, Laura continued on to 9 years of intensive dance training, 5 years of acting training, and all the while signing in choirs and group ensembles.

After high school graduation, Laura continued her study of acting at Capilano University’s Acting for Stage and Screen intensive program. Throughout these 3 years she delved into both theatre and film, playing roles such as Emily Webb in Thornton Wilder’s “Our Town” (Arbutus Studio), Philaminte in “Learned Ladies” (CapU Theatre), and Angel/Young Woman in “Glory Days” (CapU MOPA). Whether it be singing, guitar, dancing, or acting – Laura looks forward to what’s next and trusts where her passions will continue to take her.
