Kyra Wong

Kyra Wong (she/her) is a vivacious, extremely funny, fearless and charismatic performer who lights up any room she walks into. Since her early days Kyra has always been drawn to the creative arts and started acting and dancing when she was just 4 through Carousel Theatre and PerformArt Studios. Kyra loved live performances and when she wasn’t on stage, she was performing her own productions or singing for her family (or strangers anywhere!). Her earliest professional stage performance was a memorable experience performing in the Nutcracker with the Goh Ballet in the role of Lamb.

Kyra studied dance at North Shore Academy of Dance, performing in competitions and recitals, while also pursuing acting through school improv classes. To broaden her training, she began studying acting at Shoreline Studios, as well as VoiceOver at On the Mic. Kyra thrives in the freedom of improv and has loved applying those skills, along with her boundless creativity, to Voice Over acting where she creates unique characters and voices.

For the last few years, Kyra has studied professional screen acting with the renowned Beatrice King at King Creative Studios. Through Beatrice, Kyra has learned to expand her range and delve deeply into character and scene study to produce truthful, engaging work. Outside of her regular classes, Kyra also studies privately with Starlise Waschuk (a Patsy Rodenburg associate) as well as with Maryke Hendrikse (VoiceOver actor extraordinaire).

When not acting, hitting the gym or trying to beat the guys at football, Kyra can always be found singing her heart out at the piano. She is currently studying voice with Courtenay Ennis and would love to form her own band one day.
